Current Energy 2008 Q3 Retail Window Signs

August 05, 2008

The Client:
Current Energy provides energy-efficiency solutions to both residential and commercial customers designed to maximize energy cost savings while minimizing capital investment. Current Energy has a consumer-facing retail presence with its Current Energy Store located in the upscale Knox-Henderson shopping district of Dallas, Texas.

Situation:
Current Energy requested that we create signs to hang in their retail store windows.

Objectives:
The charge was to a) use the new identity we created, b) center around the insane Texas heat and solutions found inside the store, and c) make electronic HVAC equipment look interesting.

Strategies & Tactics:
We knew we would be competing with a lot of extra "noise," visually speaking in the retail store. Most of the other signage in the store predominantly used the Current Energy Green color. So we decided to use the new secondary colors (created in our identity project) in order to spice things up a bit. We also made their headlines a little snappier, if we do say so ourselves.

Results:
It's so subjective. You tell us.
